As of March 2026.
As a result of geopolitical challenges, our industry is currently experiencing disruption in global energy markets. These challenges are raising energy prices and are having a significant impact on the cost of key raw materials used in our pipe and fittings, as well as transportation through fuel surcharges.
EMCO is doing its best to mitigate through its extensive inventory but unless external conditions lessen, this will only last a few more weeks. We are hoping this can help our customers complete current and upcoming projects.
HDPE
There is currently much uncertainty in global fuels, chemicals, and plastics markets. Currently, there is no change to actual supply / production, but we have seen multiple updates regarding pricing. Resin products have announced significant increases starting March 2026, which EMCO will only be able to mitigate against for orders / projects going within the next month. Unfortunately, HDPE resins have already seen +30% increases with estimated greater 20% remaining for the foreseeable future.
PVC
In addition to HDPE, PVC resins have seen roughly 9% increases early conversations are hinting at a possible-and-additional 5-10% coming. No currently impacting supply or production, just material cost for pipe.
